We started building WordPress sites and still do when it is the right call. We also build on Next.js when speed and control matter most. The right answer depends on who edits the site and how fast it needs to be.

WordPress wins on editing flexibility

If a non-technical team needs to publish and restructure pages daily without a developer, WordPress with a good page builder is hard to beat. The ecosystem of plugins covers most needs out of the box.

Next.js wins on speed and scale

For sites where load time, Core Web Vitals, and custom interactivity decide conversions, a Next.js build is faster and more controllable. It costs more up front and needs a developer for structural changes.

How we decide

Content-heavy site, frequent edits, modest traffic: WordPress. Conversion-critical, performance-sensitive, custom funnels: Next.js. Sometimes the best answer is WordPress content with a performance layer on top.

The takeaway

There is no universally correct platform, only the right fit for your team and goals. Beware anyone who insists on one tool for every job.
